Fried Eggs With Chopsticks by Polly Evans

I really enjoyed this travel book of China. China is a huge country with a very unique culture. I loved the way Polly describes with warmth the people she met and her frustration at times with the language. Her decription of the children, the toilet system, and most of all the embalming of Mao Tse Tung left me smiling for ages. I must admit I shuddered at all the hawking and spitting that she encountered. That would finish me off. All in all it was a good read.

Hi, HollyDolly!
Polly Evans has a blog, which she updates every now and again, it's always fun to read. I think her next book has to do with Yukon...I am really looking forward to it!
